The Daily Planet was the renowned newspaper company of Metropolis. The chief competitor of the Daily Star, the Planet was initially quite corrupt. It was only after the debut of Superman did Perry White manage to return the company to it's former self. In 2011, the company was bought out by Morgan Edge. The company was then made a part of the Galaxy Broadcasting System.
