The Joker's Crew was a name given to several short-lived iterations of gangsters knoluwn to band together under the leadership of the Joker. Unlike the League of Smiles in which several insane citizens of Gotham City committed acts in the name of the Clown Prince, several members of the crew, aside from Harley Quinn, were sane and simply criminals. Due to the Joker's radical endeavours, the crew was often stopped, ended and rebuilt.

First Iteration[]

The first iteration of the crew came shortly after the Joker debuted. They were mainly used around for his heists and to attract the attention of the Batman or to gain money to fund the Joker's mad endeavours. This version was stomped down several times before it was finally ended.

Second Iteration[]

The second iteration of the crew was headed by Harley Quinn. She mostly used this gang for her insane quests of servitude under the Joker. Unlike the previous crew, this one was less attached to the Joker, with him and Harley mostly going toe to toe with Batman and Robin at the time. Hence, this crew's main interactions with the Joker were through Harley commanding them to help the Joker escape from Arkham Asylum. With Harley Quinn being abandoned by the Joker and forced into joining the Suicide Squad, this crew dissolved on it's own.

Third Iteration[]

Following the Joker's return after having the Dollmaker cut off his face, he founded a new crew. Much like previous versions, this crew did not consist of insane members, but rather more ruthless criminals than ever before. This criminals were trained to use military grade weapons. However, their main purpose was to cause havoc in Gotham City and cause other smaller gangs that did consist of insane members to rise up against society. However, criminals only consisted of a small fraction of the Crew, as a majority of the members were innocent guards of Arkham Asylum who were coerced into joining.

This was often considered the most powerful crew, as for the first time it consisted of other members of Batman's enemies. The likes of Mr. Freeze, Clayface and Scarecrow also joined. These members helped the Joker guard Arkham Asylum.
