The Metropolis Police Department was the official department of law and jurisdiction in the city of Metropolis. It often dealt with everyday criminals and received almost no assistance from Superman, with the Man of Tomorrow only aiding them against supernatural or otherworldly threats. The MPD had a working relationship with STAR Labs, with whom they would help clean up the messes left by Superman's battles with supervillains. The MPD also aided the GCPD during the Zero Year.
